SADC launches its Groundwater Information Portal developed by IGRAC

On 31 May and 1 June, IGRAC gave a training workshop for SADC-GMI staff on how to work with the SADC Groundwater Information Portal (GIP). This SADC-GIP has recently been launched and is developed by IGRAC. SADC-GIP a map-based information system providing access to the harmonised SADC Hydrogeological Map and Atlas as well as other relevant groundwater-related maps like the WHYMAP Global Groundwater Vulnerability Map to Floods and Droughts and IGRAC's Map of Transboundary Aquifers of the World. 

IGRAC PhD Fellow Kirstin I. Conti successfully defended her PhD thesis

On the 4th of July 2017, Kirstin I. Conti has successfully presented and defended her PhD thesis and was awarded with a Doctoral degree. This PhD defense took place at the Agnietenkapel in Amsterdam. The past four years, Conti conducted her research on ‘Norms in Multilevel Groundwater Governance & Sustainable Development’ with IGRAC as PhD candidate at the University of Amsterdam (UVA), Amsterdam Institute of Social Science Research.
