Keeping track of G3P project progress in virtual assembly

On 5 and 7 August the G3P Consortium got together in a general assembly to discuss the progress of the G3P project. The original plan was that the meeting took place in Zurich, hosted by UZH, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it took place via Zoom. Twenty-five participants from the G3P Consortium got together to get an update on the project and discuss further progress.

Groundwater webinar series during virtual World Water Week

The annual World Water Week this year, due to the Covid-19, did not have its traditional form. Instead, the organisation initiated a virtual conference to help bridge the gap between the 2019 and 2021 World Water Weeks. As part of this 'WWWeek At Home' that was held from 24 to 28 August 2020, a series of groundwater webinars was organised and IGRAC contributed to those.

New IAH commission established on groundwater quality

Groundwater quality is a critical aspect of water resources. High quality groundwater provides safe drinking water for millions of users. However, without sustainable management, governance and protection, groundwater quality can rapidly deteriorate due to human activities. Inadequate management of groundwater can expose humans to hazardous natural and anthropogenic substances.
